The disc golf subreddit r/discgolf never ceases to entertain and amaze the simple minded disc golfer. The disc golf form is known for its hilarity and this post has to be one of the highest tiers of copypasta we have seen in quite some time.
Breakdown
Our protagonist, user Michael1265 on reddit appears to be a male in his mid 50's and somewhat new to disc golf. I'm going to go out on a limb and say our hero was born in December of 1965, due to the numbers following his name. Old people on the internet are simple and do dumb things like put their birth month and year followed by their real first name on reddit, so that makes me think this user is legit and not 'karma whoreing'.
Michael does not come unequipped with stats and analytics however. After arriving at his local mini he takes a quick visual straw poll. A SHOCKING 50% of the disc golfers are smoking! Something is triggered in his mind and he realizes something is amiss. Next he takes to Google, the gatekeeper of all disc golf information (but you can find other stuff out there as well), and notices that only 12% of the United States population smokes dope.
Perplexed by his surroundings u/Michael1265 thinks back to his childhood, a world where just like the disc golf course, EVERYONE SMOKES!

Michael now recognizes that there might be a correlation and crossover between people who like to throw colorful plastic discs far and follow them around the trees and fields and people who consume marajuana. Now this is crazy.
Most of us came to this realization without taking to the internet to share our findings, and that is what takes this post from a 8/10 to a 10/10.
The day of our disc golf legends mini tournament was April 20th.
The only thing I'm shocked about is that the clouds were not blocking his views of all the baskets.
